Air Margaritaville, Detroit Street Cafe and Atwater Brewery Greet Travelers at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport

ATLANTA – Paradies Lagardère, a leader in the travel retail and restaurateur industry in North America, and the Wayne County Airport Authority (WCAA), operator of Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, are excited to announce that Air Margaritaville, Detroit Street Café featuring Zingerman’s Coffee, and Atwater Brewery are open and ready to serve hungry – and thirsty – travelers at the airport.

The Paradies Lagardère Dining Division, a true restaurateur, is passionate about connecting with travelers through inspiring design, delicious, top-notch culinary offerings, exceptional hospitality and first-class customer service.

“The Paradies Lagardère Dining Division is excited to bring local concepts Detroit Street Cafe and Atwater, and powerhouse international brand Air Margaritaville to DTW. We’re also pleased to continue our successful relationship with Zingerman’s Coffee through this new offering for customers,” said Regynald Washington, president, Paradies Lagardère Dining Division. “Travelers will be delighted at the fun and delicious menu options these very different dining establishments will offer.”

“Detroit Metropolitan Airport is thrilled to be the third airport in the country and the first in the Midwest to become home to Jimmy Buffett’s Air Margaritaville,” said WCAA CEO Chad Newton. “As a long-standing local favorite, Atwater Brewery is sure to bring Detroit flavor to the airport. Whether passengers want to sit among palm trees or experience our great city, the North Terminal has options for all.”

Paradies Lagardère considered traveler desires and demographics in determining the award-winning local and international brands would resonate with customers at DTW:

Detroit Street Café, a locally-inspired original concept at the airport, features delicious Zingerman’s Coffee, as well as select menu items from Zingerman’s Bakery.

Founded in 1997, Atwater Block Brewery made its debut in Detroit’s historic Rivertown district. It brought back the Bohemian style lager that Stroh’s Brewing Company made famous in the mid 1800’s. Now these great German Lagers and boutique ales are served at Atwater Brewery at DTW, along with scrumptious traditional bar fare.

Air Margaritaville at DTW will ensure it’s always 5:00 p.m. The restaurant not only delivers a carefree, laid-back tropical lifestyle and atmosphere right in the airport, but also offers travelers island-inspired food and beverages for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
